FAQ

Common questions

Does the OSH Code change our factory licence?

The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code came into force on 21 November 2025 and the Central Rules on 8 May 2026. Maharashtra has issued draft state rules. Existing registrations are generally deemed valid but particulars must be updated. We review your position and handle the transition.

We have fewer than 20 workers. Are we a factory?

Under the OSH Code, a factory is an establishment with 20 or more workers using power, or 40 or more without power. We confirm your status before you file anything.

What is a legal register?

A list of every law, licence and condition that applies to your plant, with responsibilities and due dates. It is the backbone of an organised compliance system.
